Malanday bags awards in MMYWCC '14

 

           Two grade six pupils of this school won awards in the 35th Metro Manila Young Writers Conference and Contests (MMYWCC) held at Dalandanan National High School in Valenzuela City, October 7, 11, 18 and 25.

                                           

               James Patrick Ramota and Arthur James Feriol both of Six-Philippines placed fourth in Newswriting and sixth in Pagsulat ng Balitang Isports respectively. 

 

        Ramota got second place in Newswriting in the Division Press conference, while Feriol was seventh in Pagsulat ng Balitang Isports. Said feat earned for them the chance to compete in the MMYWCC wherein 112 participants from public and private schools in the National Capital Region vied for supremacy in each category.

 

            Meanwhile, this school placed third over-all in the Division Press Conference.  Winners include Hanna Patricia Orbe, first place in Copy Reading and Headline Writing, Kyle Westley Intia, first in Pagsulat ng Balita, Vercil Mark Gacilo, second in Pagsulat ng Editoryal, Abigail Adornado, third in Paglalarawang Tudling, Kathleen Joyce Precioso, fourth in Editorial Writing, Patrick Yuri Quililan, fourth in Sports Writing, Maxine Naomi Merilles, seventh in Pagkuha ng Larawan, Johan Santos, ninth in Pagwawasto at Pag-uulo, Angela Etoquila, tenth in Pagsulat ng Lathalain, and Selina Ocfemia, ninth in Editorial Cartooning.
